DB112 vs PH112??

I have owned both and currently gig with a pair of th Mesa Powerhouse 112's.
I did not own both at the same time so I will not be to specific, but from my memory the DB112 is a slightly warmer, slightly vintage sounding cabinet. The Mesa has a purer tone and can be very aggressive sounding. The Mesa will get a little louder.
Both cabs are on the larger side for a 112, the Mesa weighs a bit more, but is easier to carry due too the two handles. The one handle on the Aguilar is unfortunate given that the cab is fairly large for a 112.
Both cabs are very nice, but I have obviously chosen the Mesa's and am very happy with them.

Please take my words with a grain of salt, its been awhile since I played the DB112 and I don't want to mislead. Thats to the best of my memory.
i haven't owned the aguilar, but i do own a mesa ph112 and i have my music store of choice ordering a second one in for me.
if you end up with the mesa i know you'll be very pleased with it, it's a great sounding little cab!

I'm just wondering if Mesa can be as warm, phat and vintage as Aguilar.
From the experiences I had (just small tests in stores) with Mesa, I know they can provide huge bottom though I had the impression it can be a bit unruly at times but there's also a strong emphasis on the mids and highs which, when you cut them, removes all the definition in the sound. It's like there is no lo-mid punch/definition. Anyhow, I had difficulty finding a good middle ground between both. Mind you, I haven't spent a whole lot of time fiddling with the EQ.
It's as if you can't get rid of the Justin Chancelor sound and can't get close to James Jamerson's.

I've had no such problems with mine. I use two of them with with a Walkabout, and I get a very growly, punchy, old school tone without the weight. I turn my horns all the way off, and set my Walkabout flat with the exception of having the mids all the way up, and I set my gain just to the point of clipping.
I can't say that I've tried the Aguilar, but I've been very happy with my PH112s. I've never really cared for neo cabs before, but these are actually pretty sweet.
