Did you have any issues with the darker color bleeding into the white part of that rosewood during sanding and/or finishing? I have a project going using a very similar piece of wood and was concerned about that.

The rosewood gave no problems, only cleaned it with naphtha before oiling, no bleeding at all.
However the padouk I used is notorious for bleeding into everything surrounding it and needs serious preparation right before oiling.
I thoroughly cleaned everything with naphtha until the cloth I used wasn't looking orange anymore after rubbing the wood, during oiling the orange will still sweat out of the padouk a little bit, but not into the surrounding wood anymore, after four or five coats of Danish oil this sweating finally stops.
