Dealbreaker or reparable?

Maybe, Maybe not. until someone opens it up and looks though, no one actually knows what condition it's in.
This may be true but it does not change my position. Nobody should pay more than scrap value for a heavily damaged amp with a questionable history... and requires disassembly to even properly evaluate if it's worth trying to restore in the first place. Especially one that is not worth much even if it was in reasonable condition.

Me? I wouldn't take it if it was free.

Was the original post in jest? If not—that’s a dealbreaker.

I’ve bought a gazillion used guitars, and maybe two used amps. Earlier this summer I built a 1X12, so I was thinking maybe rip the bottom off that Rumble and replace it.

Something like water damage never occurred to me, so once again, thanks to everyone here for all the input.

Should this scare me off of this Rumble 350 for $219, assuming it’s otherwise intact?

This reminds me of an old woodwind joke:
Q: What's an oboe good for?
A: Kindling.
Q: If an oboe's good, why is a bassoon better?
A: It burns longer.
And now back to our subject cab: I don't know if it's "reparable," but I believe with the right accelerant it's definitely flammable.
