Dean basses

I own two Dean bass guitars and I love them. I own a ML and a Demonator. Anyone else use Dean guitars?

my dad bought me my first bass in 2003 a used dean edge dual soap bar pickups 24 fret neck its beat up and missing a string i need to get new ones but i still got it.

first bass was a Dean Metalman ML. Just one fat pickup by the bridge, and the action was set high. All in all, the bass itself was ok, but I think it helped me appreciate the smaller things in better basses

Yes I own 2 dean basses. I own a dean ml which I play in my brother's band and I own a dean edge 5 which I play in my side-project. even though dean is more focus on their guitars, they make awesome basses.

I was never a big dean fan...then I won a limited edition Dean Hardtail guitar in a drawing. Loved the feel, action, sound, etc of the guitar (still have it). While I just diddle around on guitar and dont really know how to play its still nice to have a good one to mess with. Recently I picked up a Dean Rapsody 12 string since I got it at an amazing price and couldnt afford a Hammer. I have to say that it plays really well for me and how I am used to playing, sounds great, and is really built prity well. I have no complaints at all. I probably wouldnt buy one for my main bass but they are decent little instruments.

I have a Dean Edge 1 with duel soap bar pickups and love the thing.I heard some bad things about Dean and how they were crap and to stay away from them,but I must say I think their great.I'm a lefty so my choices are limited compared to you lucky righties.I tried a bunch of basses from Ibanez,Peavey,Hamer and Dean.I thought the Dean sounded the best and played great compared to the others so it came home with me.I love my Dean and I will get another Dean when it's time for a new bass.Rock on Dean

Ive got a Demonator, love it, only thing I'd change is a natural neck, but it's neck through lol, gonna have my tech take the pain off because I'm clueless as to how to do it & not mess up.

This has been brought up by alot of us Dean users, but we've not had much luck, there was a limited run trans-red ML, in two different tops & there's been a trans-green quilt top V this year.

I’ve got a Dean Razor Standard (4-string) and a Dean Razor 1-5 (5-string), both discontinued. They’re great, versatile, lightweight instruments.

They're the DOA basses though, no?

Special run, once a year, have to already be a Dean owner?

Blue Rock Guitars do the deal on the DOA basses, so if you email or call Steve there, he'd be able to hook you up, but priority goes to DOA members, although Dean also do other limited runs, like the Cadzilla (a Cadillac guitar in the green quilt)

I still don't get the attraction of the V neck profile. But the original Demonator (not the Metalman) is my favorite neck profile.

And, Dean has the best customer service. Period.

I have the Dean Edge 4 Q Bart. I love the neck and the power of the pickups. I have gone to a 5 string Cirrus but I keep the Dean as back up. For the money, you can't beat it.

That green V is killer,I was wanting a V,Metalman aswell but no options for it in lefty so the edge it was.I'm happy with my edge and hope Dean comes out with a V or metalman shaped lefty soon.I would like to stay with Dean so hope it happens.

I wish they'd offer a 12 string version of the Edge or Vendetta.
