Dean Markley SR200O B string problem??

Has anyone ever had trouble with Dean Markley SR 2000 B strings??
I have tried 2 sets and the B strings have no snap when you slap it open,,Its like its dead.
The other strings sounds crisp and snappy though.
These string are tapered with a very skinny wire...

Wondering if anyone had the same problem with these B strings.

My experience has been that the SR2000 B is the clearest ringing, mosty easily intonated, tonally centered B string available. I have used them exclusively for years, and they are great.

Perhaps you dont slap much??
The string sounds fine when you play it fingerstyle BUT when you slap it OPEN there is no snap or life.

I used these strings - particularly the Will Lee set when that relationship was in place - almost exclusively for more than 10 years. I did run into some duds now and then (B, E, and A), but never had an issue with warranty replacement.

I use them on my MTD AG and the B string is great.
