And if you don't like the shape of the Map bass, but you like the Airline styling you could order the Belmont Reso-glass body from Link Removed and swap the neck and components over and sell the Eastwood Airline body online.

I've got the Gibson SG lefty in Heritage Cherry (the glossy one with the inlays) and although it took a little bit to get used to, the bass has really grown on me. It sounds great and plays really well, not to mention the fact that it is just stunning to look at. The glossy usually has a 1 piece body while the faded has a 2 or 3 piece, but other than that and the cosmetic differences it is pretty much the same as the faded, and if you're on a budget you will be more than happy with the faded version.

Pics or it didn't happen of course:

I wish mine had those inlays, or no inlays, but I still think I prefer the finish on mine

Good luck finding a left mustang bass!! They are super rare! Like the OP I find 30" scale perfect. Have a look at the Hofner CT 500/1 bass. They are lovely to play - a big fat bottom end. They go for £600, or get a Mexican fender Jazz. Great basses for the money....
