Decisions on Daphne... Blue that is.

With a geddy neck should I keep the Jazz Black or repaint Daphne Blue?

Daphne is hot.
Here's my Daphne...not a black block bound neck( I can't look at a maple black block neck for some reason - lots of forumites seem to love that Geddy look, but it makes me uneasy - I must be weird::)), but plenty of black guard and lots of ambered maple...

Yeah I like the black block bound neck, but not because of Geddy. I think it looks good. We shall see if I can hold out for one to come to me or if I finally get impatient and get a plain maple neck.

I just put in string through holes in the body this week. Still need ferrules to arrive in order to finish. I was surprised at how straight I got the holes to line up.

btw good luck finding an SX neck!
I was in search of rosewood bound/blocked for 2 months, finally settled for maple with vintage tint removed after i gave up
Kurt hasnt been replying to emails either which makes things even more difficult

Well the poor guy has probably been hit with email asking about gear for months and months now. His supplier is taking forever to get him parts. I lucked out last year. I decided I wanted the maple black block bound neck and went to order it (when it was still posted as available) then come to find out they are out of stock. That was back in October 2008. Been waiting almost a year. Trying to make deals with fellow TBers.

Chrome ferrules came in through ebay. Installed those right away yesterday and got everything wired back up and running. I took the jazz neck back from my p-bass project and put it on this Daphne blue jazz to try things out. It is sounding great and (thankfully) the electronics still work. Just need to hunt down that maple black blocked and bound neck.

Updated pictures to come soon. :hyper:

Pictures are in!

Still needs the maple black blocked and bound neck, but at least for now you can check out the paint job.
