Yea, it has been a while since I have looked at the Boss and BSY600 (seeing that I have a DI, BSW, SB7, FM4 and various others to make synth sounds). It was more of the comment, which sounded like a troll to be honest, that set me over the edge.

I know many pedals can get close to each other, but the DI is what it is, and what it does, it does extremely well. Better than most others in my opinion.

FWIW, I just bought a DI for $700. NOT because of the whole Muse thing but because I love synth-type effects and checking out Youtube demos, I found it worth its price. I also have a Korg G5, Boss SYB-5, EHX XO BMS and Line6 M9 (G5 doesn't live on the pedalboard, syb-5 will be replaced with the DI if I find the space for it).
It tracks really good, sounds really good and its relatively easy to find the sweet spots in the sounds.

For me as someone who makes a living from playing bass it is a good investment.

Breaking the thing on stage? I don't really care. I'll try to be careful with it but instruments, amps and effects are made to be played, not to be in a cupboard or on the wall.


Hey, you got people buying +10k instruments and not playing them, I find that more disturbing honestly.

The Behringer BSY600 sounds the same. I have that one. It sounds the same.

Not even close, unfortunately...
I bought one and sold it fast. Very poor.
