hello TB'ers. Just wondering if anyone had experienced with these two: Delano Xtender 5 HE/S vs SBC 5 HE/S.
I have installed and played both, unfortunately being two different shapes, I couldn't played them both in the exact same environment (and by that I mean the same exact body, neck, electronics etc).
I am playing around with some quite old, natural air dry woods with a superb natural vibe and I am looking for a pickup that would allow all that to come through. So far the Delano's I've played with, did respond the best (to my ears) in that regard. The Delano site is touting the Xtender being 'the one taking us to a different level...' In my humble experience, no doubt about that the Xtender is a nice sounding pickup, but so is the SBC HE/S soapbar with the later being actually more transparent to my ears, but again, it might be because of tho different pieces of wood, ( from the same slab though). Wondering if anyone had something to share about these two pickups.
Any thoughts welcome.
Thanks
