Describe your ideal bass!

I love the Status Graphite Buzzard, so I plan on buying a B-2 sometime in the near future. They're not the same, but I think the B-2 is still pretty damn cool and I'll bet it sounds great.

I wonder if he'll make an 8-string version? :bassist:

If my Birdsong Hy5 is ANYTHING like it sounds on the CD...I will have my "dream" bass. It is being made right now. The body is Zebrawood...I'm not sure of the neck, but I think it will be maple. It will have 2 Kent Armstrong pick-ups...(Which I'm not familiar with...but I understand they are nice.)and the Birdsong varitone. This WILL be my LAST BASS (acording to my VERY patient wife) so it BETTER be my "dream" bass!!:hyper:
Kent

A mid seventies ash body jazz bass, with block inlays in rosewood fingerboard, metallic candy apple red with matching headstock and red pearloid pickguard with the fattest sound fender has ever produced. I would only play it in a pimp outfit fitted with leds that would be react to the notes played and to top it off I'd wear one of those salsa dip sombreros and gene simmons' stage boots.

*jaw drop* Sick.

Graphite neck with Hipshot Ultralights (modulus BaSSStar for the correct vibe), White Korina body for a mid-tone (Warmoth Dinky J), G&L HB pups, a Peavey T-40 wiring harness, 2008 Fender Jazz Bridge. I'm thinking "Hybrid", rather than "Franken...".

Redburst, black guard. Flats. What am I missing?

Something like this:

Unicorn Artist 3200

32" scale, set neck, maple with stripes of wenge, ebony fretboard, mahogany body with a wenge top and split coil pickups.

I would have a slightly different pickup placement, don´t like the bridge pickup so close to the bridge.
