Ah ok, I wore PJs through the 60's and 70's so yeah, I'm probably sufficiently mutagenned hah. Might explain some things hehe
Tell me about it - my oldest sister was born with abnormalities due to some drug or another they fed my mom during pregnancy (and destroyed all records of after). Might been Thalidomide even. Amazing any of us survived. There was enough stuff in the air and water back then that our PJs were the least of our worries.![]()
Early humans might not have lived long enough to worry about cancer. Also, I wonder when humans stopped being hairy compared to the apes. The hair would have been a sun screen.AKA "skin cancer susceptible skin". Sigh. Always tradeoffs involved. Amazing that Vitamin D is important enough to be worth the increased risk.
And we didn't need the insulating value after we started wearing other crittter's pelts over our own. That's far enough back that it could've affected genetics by now sure...Early humans might not have lived long enough to worry about cancer. Also, I wonder when humans stopped being hairy compared to the apes. The hair would have been a sun screen.
I also wonder why we lost our hair. Maybe it has to do with avoiding tick and lice borne diseases.
