Double Bass DI to match wit Underwood

I really like Mike's idea a bunch. I still am wondering though if is there any danger of damaging the amp this way?

I hope not! I never even really thought about it. Is there a reason you think it might be bad?

Very interesting. Where can I find an XLR-1/4 converter/transformer?
Can you suggest to me the brand and model of your so can I search it on the WEB?
I am using the audio-technica CP8201. I think there are other similar devices out there, though.

Just to add on that a bit. The Tech 21 website says the input impedance for the current Para Driver DI is 4.7 megOhm. I have a regular Bass Driver DI that's several years old and the owner's manual says its input is 1 megOhm.
