Try watching the current series Scorpion every now and then. I'm not sure whether they just pull all their scientific "Facts" and tricks out of their butts, or if they actually do a minimal amount of homework so that they can invent the rest.

Then there is Hart to Hart. A very wealthy couple that are experts at everything and well respected by everyone get involved in a murder weekly as well.
