I've been on a vintage TV kick for a while now, and just started recording episodes of this. Never watched it when it originally aired, but I like Dick Van Dyke and thought I'd give it a go. It's somewhat entertaining, and helps put me to sleep at night...
BUT IT'S ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!!
In pretty much every episode I've seen thus far, one of the 4 or 5 main characters has a friend that gets murdered. They are often right there at the scene of the murder, and the person who did the murdering either works with them, or is someone connected somehow.
I would never want to be part of their clique, that's for certain.
Did the writers do this intentionally, to make it comical or something? Did they not realize most people don't witness and/or get involved in murders on a weekly basis?
Rant over.
Feel free to add your own rants about other shows.
