I'm looking for a new phase pedal, and the diamond phase has really caught my eye. Anyone have experience with it on bass?

Diamond Phase

Bump again.
It's high on my GAS list. I've got the Bass Comp and Vibrato, Diamond stuff is built like diamonds — harder than nails and sooo pretty when you look inside.
Saw one recently on sale, but I was already getting some other stuff and couldn't swing it, which I now regret. I'll never see a price like that again. It'll look great next to the Vibrato, orange and purple are my favourite colours.
I'm sure it'll sound great.
Can anyone confirm?

I bought one a couple years ago and was very disappointed. I returned it within a few days as it just didn't do much for bass at all. It's a huge pedal, very expensive, a huge pain to power (24 v centre positive) and simply way too subtle on bass.
Now the Diamond Halo Chorus was amazing on bass. I did have that peel for a long time and loved it. Eventually I couldnt justify the size on the board as I really don't like chorus on bass that much. I'm more of a phaser nut.
Here are a few others that I have owned for reference:
1. MXR phase90 standard block logo. Great on bass, no low end loss and a nice fat swirly tone.
2. MXR EVH phase90. Just like the standard one but with a little switch to make it more subtle.
3. MXR Script reissue Phase90. Nice but a little too subtle for bass
4. Empress Phaser. Very expensive and overly complicated for my taste. Great tones are thee but you have to tweak to find them.
5. Tortuga Effects Mai tai phaser. Again, super expensive and way to subtl on bass.
6. Retrosonic Phaser. Nicely built but too subtle for bass.
7. Keeley Phaser. Expensive and just not geared for bass. Lots of low end loss.
8. EHX Small Stone. Very nice, inexpensive but a little bit of a volume drop when kicked in. Very good on bass though.
9. Boss PH3. Way too digital sounding.
10. Home brew Electronics Psilocybe. THE BEST PHASER for bass I have yet to try! Warm, organic, lush, no volume or bass drop, very present in the mix, just gorgeous.

Many thanks @Crabby. The feedback on the Empress and Retro-Sonic helps me tremendously, though I'm saddened to hear the Diamond was in the rough.
I had a Diamond Halo Chorus for bass as well for awhile and I wish had kept it. It's probably one of the best pedals I've had for stereo, but it really didn't have a ton of controls for the phase side. I didn't really need a lot of control and just wanted a simple sounding phaser nothing crazy, but if I was to get a pedal dedicated for phasing it would be the Empress one...a bit smaller and can do a LOT more stuff.
No experience with the Diamond but phase is one of my favorite effects.
MXR Phase 90 and all it's variants are very good on bass. I love my EVH version. The Mooer Orange Ninety is cool too but not quite a Phase 90.
I also have the Empress which is killer. It's not difficult to tweak at all if you know what you're trying to get out of it. But I do understand that not everyone I'd into that many knobs and switches.

Now I don't really trust demos of pedals in stores to start with - not your gear, not your power, not your setup - but sometimes they can be helpful.
Point being - I wasn't too impressed with the Diamond. It is clearly meant to be a pretty full featured Phase pedal when you compare it to a Phase 90 or other single knob. But I actually felt like it was pretty limited.

Cool, looks like I'll be shooting for the Empress in the long run and try to get a Mooer in the interim.
The Cusack tap-a-phase is what I finally settled on. I don't know why it doesn' get much love around here.
