No. As long as the regular, no-yet-tapered section clears the nut you're golden.

Like the others said, it should be fine once it's tuned up to pitch. Meanwhile, just to make sure you have the right one, the "long scale" B by TI should be 37" from ball end to the taper/silk. You can measure it and see...

Almost all Schecter 5-strings are 35” scale, and many are string-through bridge. Did you purchase the Extra Long set? Looks like it came out fine, though!

Let’s see the whole bass! Schecter basses are fantastic; my only electric bass is a Schecter.

Longscale, should have gotten extra but not sure I can find any most places were sold out where I live. Probably lucky these worked, was originally gonna do string through but did not work so went with just bridge.

It’s fine. I suspect extra long scale would have you wrapping the post - you’re better off as is.

Strings will stretch a bit, as you’ve figured out. It can vary from a couple factors, but it’s usually on the order of about 1/4” (6 mm for those in the modern world)

It’s fine and will not affect intonation or tuning. If you want to get OCD about it, take an exacto knife and gently cut through some of the silk that covers the thick portion of the string to expose another 3/16ths of an inch of the string, then place a tiny drop of super glue at the new end of the silk to prevent unraveling. I did this once to solve the same issue and it worked great.

I have removed extra silk with a razor knife and sealed them with a lighter but it's better with an electronic heat shrink gun 200 dollar upright bass strings
