Did you ever laugh at someones strap ?

I'm a vegan too and I wear leather shoes/boots.Not jackets though.I have the same belief as your gf.

Hmm we're gonna go a bit off topic here. :)

If I was left alone in an island or whatever I'd hunt to survive if there were not enough vegetables and excess animals.

If there were enough vegetables I'd stay a vegan and try to find me some stuff to make shoes and clothing.But If I fail,I'd kill one animal suitable for shoe/cloth making but I'd be crying and have nightmares of the guilt.

*With all the leather shoes I wore since that that,1 maybe 2 animals were killed lets say.

*With all the meat I ate before I went vegan...I'm afraid to estimate a number and the guilt that I feel is horrible.It hurts a lot.:(

Yay for the annoyingly yellow Police-line-do-not-cross straps! I got one, but only cuz it was the cheapest they have, and the choice was between the yellow "police line" strap and a fluorescent orange strap the said "Dept. of Corrections"

So it's okay to kill a few animals, just not a lot. Correct? :rollno:




Also to the OP, I don't think I've ever laughed at a strap. It's cool however you wish to hold you're guit-fiddle up.

I've not laughed at other people's straps but people often laugh at mine! My bass has a Fender strap (fair enough), my acoustic instruments have leather straps with celtic embossing (again fair enough) but my Les Paul has a furry, leopard print strap just for a laugh!

As completely nerdy as it sounds, I've always wanted either Chewbacca's shoulder thing, or Worf's shoulder thing fashioned into a strap. Perhaps one for each bass... GENIUS!

Right now I have a black, 3" wide PlanetWaves with a single reflective stripe down the center. Eventually I'll get a new one and just decorate it myself.

Of course not,I haven't even killed a fly since what...I don't even kill insects I'm so problemed about this.I have a redicilous ability to emphatisize,some people think I should be treated.:hmm:

Its just,I haven't had a chance/money to buy new non-leather shoes since I turned vegan again.(I've been wearing my old Chuck Taylor non leathers for some time though.)
