But this is exactly my point - so the only reason to have settled on that username is because you are a big Scrabble player and as you say - this is hardly something to give you "street cred"!!![]()
Street cred on Talkbass. What a concept.

then i ask for those of us who don't when i say
WHY?

In the desert prison at Nafhah, Samir al-Qintar is incarcerated. He is the longest serving Lebanese prisoner in the Israeli prison system, having been placed in detention for life on 22 April 1979. He is not allowed to meet with his family or his brothers despite the fact that it is 20 years since he was first arrested. Most of the detainees endure difficult physical and mental conditions since their families are prevented from visiting them and they live in complete isolation from the world.
Well - 2 things
Firstly - nobody has heard of him in 2000 - join date for "The Qintar" - also surely it would make more sense to call yourself Samir rather than "The" ..?
The inclusion of the definite article means that it clearly refers to the unit of currency - but as I said that is no longer used today, but its name is referred to, in every Scrabble dictionary and website as a high score tactic!
QED!![]()
You should know that the join dates aren't accurate. I joined prior to 2000 but that's what shows for me now.

eh
legend or not
he ain't paying my bills or what not
so i could care less really
Bruce Lindfield: Proving daily that people can't possibly know about things that don't show up in google searches.Well I'm not going entirely on these particular dates - but I was around when the Qintar first appeared and I remember doing a few Google searches at that time. None of these other things came up then - it was only the Scrabble references!
At the time I didn't like to burst everybody's bubble and be labeled a killjoy - but now I don't really care about that and feel rather, that the truth needs to be faced!![]()
So you're like, 17... who's paying your bills and what not?
not the Qintar
So you only care about threads about your mom and dad?
what im trying to say is
Why get all worked up over some dude who got fed up with or forgot about this forum who decided to come back and see if things changed?
Maybe you needed to be there?
Going back and reading through his old posts -vs- being here when they were written is two different things, imo.
