Interesting proposal, but I think=mL is more feasible.
And here I had a working theory that mL = Mf
I figure he couldn't muster the energy to keep up the charade anymore and took steps to get his alter ego permabanned.
Well - if you are thinking about the Year 2000 - then TB was a much, much smaller club of people who were very familar with each other - their opinions and what they did - as in playing bass.
So - an amusing intruder to this small social group, had vastly more impact, than it possibly could now - when TB has been over-run by thousands of net nerd kidz who don't even play bass!!
Bruce invented Al Gore so he could have someone to argue with. Kind of creepy, like Dr. Frankenstein.
Actually - I worked in policy for a large UK organisation and I was on the focus group for introducing the internet into the workplace!
I am so old that I can remember being at work before computers...
We had loads of metal filing cabinets with cards, instead!!

And you had to go hunt whales to fill your lamps, and you had to wait for lightning to strike to light the lamps, because no one had invented fire yet... and you had to walk to work in the snow with no shoes. Uphill. Both ways.
No not punch cards - so there were cards for things like staff records, details of sickness absence, customer records - things like that in hard format, held in masses of metal filing cabinets!
They were updated in longhand by clerks who then filed them back in the cabinets or if longer reports were necessary these were written out and put in cardboard files - that were also put in slightly wider metal filing cabinets!!
If you see news film of when they release secrets into the public after so many years - they usually show you stock footage of some bunker, full of filing cabinets...?
Every office used to be like that!!
