Did you keep your first bass?

My first bass was a Kay bass.. My parents said i could get a bass or a class ring... So they bought me this kay bass... No i def don't still have it! When i moved into an Ibanez BTB it was stolen along with all of my effects... At that point I had become married and a father of a couple of kids, i've never fully recovered from that loss...i
Did buy my Warwick at that point but i've nit been able to replace the effects and other stuff.

That's really sad...

I lost a 86 MIJ Precision when I was 19. I miss it so bad and still get angry about it 10 years later. It was a great bass. At the time those basses weren't in very high demand so I only gave $125 for it at a local music shop. Replaced the nut, strings, and set up and loved every minute I had with it. The last time I saw one identical to mine on eBay it was over 500 dollars....

I still have my first bass, but it's worth more to me in sentimental value than monetary value... It's a Gremlin 30" scale Pcopy. I see them come up on eBay from time to time for like 50 bucks... yeah, I'll just keep it. It's actually still set up and plays, and is hanging on the wall in my living room.

My 1st bass was an Ibanez starter pack, I believe the bass was a GSR 190. I ended up giving it away when I "upgraded" to a Traben Array 4 which I still have but never play and may sell now that I have my SBMM Ray34. I keep a lot of other sentimental items with me, some pretty worthless stuff. However for basses I somehow don't feel my usual need to hoard old stuff. I'll probably sell my Traben soon to help fund a Squier Precision soon.
