It's marketing. Advertising is an ever evolving field, and with the rise in premium channels, internet (minus popups/spam), and satellite radio, advertisers must find new mediums in which to advertise.
There are some nifty ones out there, however, I do not believe this is one of them.

Playing a Warwick Thumb is a lot like drinking a diet Coke to me.

I hate things I hate, sure. Most Thumbs sound pretty good- they just happen to have a really terrible design. For me at least- some guys have really long arms that have no problem reaching the first position that Thumbs push really far away with their short horns. Some have big hands and strong arms that don't mind the thick necks and ever-present neck dive.
I like the things I like and I love the things I love too- I guess you have to call me a liker and a lover as well
