"Different" P basses?

Great responses, guys! However the thread was intended to discuss how those things typical of many quality handcrafted instruments (think at Nordstrands, CB basses, Stambaughs etc. etc.) such as single-cut design, neck-through or set-neck construction, a particular combination of woods could affect the typical vibe of a P bass.
No one has a ... mhhh ...Nordstrand single-cut P or a Koa bodied neck-through Stammie P to comment? Damn, don't tell me that now that my CB is on its way to be completed I have to place another custom order to satisfy my curiosity ... :D

Well guys, her is mine. Hope you like... I certainly do. It's a Sandberg Custom, I was the first one to order a matching Headstock (in wood that is) from them, which was a bit tricky for them to do but came out excellent. I also had the neck pup's position switched to get more of that wood-warmth out of the higher strings. The sound now is a very good P with that extra zing of a modern bass.

Enjoy, Jens

P.S. The picture shows the "first" version with a too dark headstock and 2-band eq. Their mistake, boss was on holiday. After redoing her to my wishes she now is the beaut' I wanted.
