From the OP I'm saying No...one bass will cover it. I take 2 5's on every gig despite BL hating 5's ...but thats another thread in itself...
Sometimes stage space is an issue..wish it wasn't, but there you go.
It seems the band hasn't looked any further than their own needs re keys..which is a bit of a flag.
If they 'notice' a 4 doing the song and think something isn't quite right, you have your answer...but I doubt anyone will fancy changing keys for your benefit..
And that is quite a tell, imv.
Admittedly vox get the calls on keys as a priority but they could also wise up..
