Where's my number? Digitech is my go to brand-I know they're not high-end or top quality, but for what I pay they're the best value to me. Plus, I really do think they're underrated, I love my Digitech pedals! All of mine are Digitech, minus a new-to-me GK Diesel Dawg.

Here's what I've got:

I've just never understood digitech pedals, maybe someone could point me in the direction of a good one? I've had a Grunge pedal (broke after a couple months), the first synth wah (broke within a day of having it), and the first synth wah's replacement (broke within a week). I also partially bought the BSW for the envelope, which when engaged cuts the volume so low I had to turn up my 500watt amp past 1 o'clock to get an ok practice volume for myself, so forget about performance volume. I really wanted a synth pedal though, so eventually I just went with EHX because they're known to be reliable, despite the cost. Never looked back, and haven't bought Digitech since. I only post this hear because I'd like understand why people love the things and maybe have someone point me in the direction of a reliable one (not to start a war, I'm a peaceful talk-basser :D ).

I've had plenty of experience, so I would hope to think I can correctly use a stompbox, haha. But I guess its just horribly bad luck. Either way my experience with digitech has caused me to switch to MXR and EHX. But I will say, the couple times it worked, those synth wahs do a mean Tom sawyer, haha.

Digitech always seems to last for me. I've bought used ones that look terrible but still play perfectly. I will agree the BSW does cut volume, but I use it in conjunction with other effects to compensate. Or just fiddle with it alone for fun, I never really figured i'd NEED a BSW, but it was gotten on the cheap so I jumped. Worth the 20 I paid.

Just got a Bad Monkey, and I'm loving it. Haven't had a chance to play with it too much (darn neighbors below me banging on the floor, it's only 8!) but so far it's doing exactly what I want it to, which is add just a little tube flavor to my sound, and a little dirt. It combines with my other effects seamlessly, and actually makes them sound tubier as well, which is what I was hoping for. It'll be a few days before I can demo it proper on my GK rig, but on my practice Ampeg combo it kills!

Yeah, I'm planning on modding it, but wanted to give it the run down on my big rig first. We'll see soon! I've heard A/Bs of modded and unmodded Bad Monkeys, and think yhe mod sounds great. Thus far the unmodded Monkey sounds great, but loses low end on my B string. The mod should take care of that!

I keep finding great settings on my Bass Driver. Love that pedal and its diversity. Got it sounding almost as good as my Diesel Dawg for some heavy OD. Right now it'll sit nicely as a medium OD between the heavy effect I'm using the Dawg for and the slight tubey breakup OD from the Bad Monkey. Love Digitech stuff!
