Digitech is killing it with their new pedals!

Any new announcements we may missed?

Well, I ordered a Drop from MF over Labor Day (got a deal). But it's on backorder until later this month. Checking the Prymaxe site they seem to be out of stock as well. So the pedal must be generating some sales.

I'm guessing that's not what you mean though? :D

I see MightyMiloQuinn beat me to it! Yes the new DOD 280 has been released and it is killer.

Original 1974 circuit, true bypass, LED, modern PSU jack, aluminum chassis, freakin' orange.

I like how what gets one post and no replies (well, one now) here has its own four page thread on TGP.

It does looks cool though, wonder when we'll start seeing demos.
Probably because us bassists are perhaps a tad bit more demanding when it comes to compressors. I'm sure the new DOD is great but it takes a lot more for us to get excited when it comes to compressors. But I could be wrong as well!

I think he was talking about the new Polara, which is a reverb...

Other than the box, how is this different from the digitech/hardwire supernatural?

They sort of addressed that on their Facebook page. It's mostly the packaging, switch, etc. But there is a new mode. Here's what they said:

Digitech Facebook Page said:
Hey folks we'd like to introduce our new reverberation pedal: Polara.

Polara features 7 Lexicon reverb algorithms, one of which is a new mode called Halo. Polara is what I consider to be the natural evolution of the HardWire pedals. Based upon your comments over the years we have reduced the size, incorporated a soft-touch vacuum-style switch, updated the look, but kept the world-class sound.

Polara is the shape of things to come here at DigiTech, hope you dig it!

Depends on the price. They will have to undercut TC to get me excited.

Looks like the street price is $150.

From what I can gather, it's more akin to the RV-7 than the Supernatural. The Halo mode and trails switch seem to be the major difference. The other major difference is the size, which you can see here: Invalid Link Removed
