Digitech XP1000 Mod

Hello there!

I remember there was a guy (I think he is Adam of Guitargeek, but I'm not sure) who modded the digitech xp units to get a unit which contains chipset and presets of all the xp devices (reverberator, modulator, whammy, space station) all in one, called xp1000.
I'd like to know if he's still doing these mods...
Anyone?

i can't say i know if he is still doing the mods (i didn't even know who was doing the mods) but i know that i've seen the pedals on ebay for about the cost of one of those units, so you could almost buy the XP1000, and if you have one of those pedals (i am guessing you do because you are asking if the guy is still modding them) you could just sell that one to pay for it

I don't own none of the Xp units. But I know that this guy used to buy cheaper units (like xp-100 which is easier to find), mod them, then sell them on ebay modded as Xp1000.
I saw those units on ebay too, but it's been about 7 months ago...
I'm asking for it, 'cause Digitech Space Station is something rare to find nowadays, and maybe would be cheaper buying a modded xp-100 than a real Space Station on ebay (usually over 200 bucks). But I'm not sure about this..

true story...the XP300, with it's awesome sounds, is pretty exensive on ebay, i have been considering the xp1000 as well...

So you've been considering the xp1000 instead of the xp300 too..
I've been considering digitech EX-7 also...but here it's 250€..

Thanks for the link! Anyway that's an old thread, dated 2005...I should send him an email or PM on guitargeek site. In one of the last pages of the thread you linked, he says that he found only expensive xp platforms on ebay (rare I suppose), so the price lifted to 365$...

Anyway, check out his signature on his forum! You could trade your Jamman for one of his modded XP1000, maybe..

lol i could, but i am only selling my looper so i can afford a new looper

yeah, it's an old thread, but that is definitly the guy who does the mods, and the email address is still the same as ever, so i'd give it a try to see if he'll do it...if you found a cheap XP platform, like the 100, then he could probably drop the price for you if you give him your XP to mod (if you got one)
