Digitechrep: Bass Whammy shipping yet?

about ready to pull the trigger on the new BW. was at a studio session yesterday and i was looking around the equipment room and lo' and behold i found the OG Bass Whammy! totally used it in a song for a "noise" section. totally awesome.

my question is regarding the size of the new BW. it seems like its a little larger than the original. is that true? i didnt see size specs on the digitech website. i liked how small the old BW was.

Never owned an og bass whammy but the new one is identical to the whammy v if that's any help.

DigiTechRep--who wins the unboxing video contest? I haven't been on here in a while so I don't know.... Thanks again!

We kind of blew up the contest when people got excited and started posting before the deadline, and then no one posted on the deadline. So since masterkey_bass was first I decided to send something cool to him.

And there you have it, chaos and resolution... ;)

You know what though, I loved your video too! So PM me your shipping info and I'll get something out to you.

Much appreciated! I can finally take this blue morph suit off now....

This pedal is a total game changer. I just got it yesterday & I'm in love with it. Had the last version of the whammy & this bass version has taken it to the next level. I'm not familiar with the original bass whammy, but the way this emulates a 5 string is unreal. The octave up harmony even nails an 8string tone too. And the chorus mode kills with my 8 string. I'm really loving this pedal, & I haven't even gotten to sit down with it for real.

Ok, DigiTech Rep - it's time I do a little nitpicking.... I know, I know... HOW DARE YOU!, right? I just have to say that as GREAT as this pedal is, I do have ONE thing that I think would be a major improvement to it.... The ability to attenuate the volume of the harmony. The tracking? ...is brilliant. It really is - and the pedal itself creates so much music and theory, I just love it. Its just that sometimes, the harmony element is just a BIT too loud at times and it tins out the overall tone. For instance, in the OCT/2OCT setting, with fuzz/distortion - you can get a really good honking 8-string simulation going, however the high harmony needs to come back a bit as it can skrape your eardrums every so often. Rolling off some of the high end in EQ helps, but this borks up your sound for everything else. Even running clean in/out I'd love to be able to lower/raise the harmony volume.

I'm not complaining, just a thought - maybe for future productions. I am not even sure this is possible. Thanks for listening.

Finally gotten to actually spend time with the BW this week...great unit. A killer combo though is the BW along with my Micro POG, with the available intervals and high&low octaver it's insane! I was also screwing around with the Whammy/Pog combo with my midi tone generator and the possibilities are just endless.:bassist:
