Digitechrep: Bass Whammy shipping yet?

Thanks for your replies, indeed the old model isn't true bypass, but some non truebypass pedals do not invert phase, that's why I asked... but does the new one invert phase when turned ON then ?

Haven't posted in a while, hello to everyone.
My whammy is shipping today from 8th street music. I tried getting it at my local George's Music, but they said they couldn't get it till June.
Looking forward to stepping on this one.

Just got my whammy it's awesome! So many possibilities

I do have some questions though, I'm quite new to effects and when I connect my whammy with my big muff and ultimate drive there is some static noise when the whammy isn't on, when I turn the whammy on the noise stops. I have tried a lot of things. Using a different power supply for the whammy, different outlets and such. The noise is only there when I connect all 3 effects in chain.
When I only use the whammy, or use whammy/muff or whammy/ud there's no noise. Only when all 3 of them are connected and the whammy is off.
When the whammy is last in the chain the noise also stopped. But I'd like to use whammy>ud>muff.
It's just weird that it only happens when I plug in all 3 pedals at once and there's no problem when using them separately.

Another thing is the whammy pedal only starts responding when it's about 1/3rd down, theres some "dead zone" where it doesn't affect anything. Is it supposed to work like this?

Sounds like a bad patch cable to me. Maybe not but that is what it sounds like. Do you have any other patches you can try?

It depends on what you have your whammy set to........

That's not normal no matter what setting you're using.
Recalibrating the treadle should fix it. It's an easy process and the manual tells you how to do it.

I'm sure someone has already said this but just in case I e-mailed Modern Voltage, the company that makes midi switchers for the whammy V, and after asking if they were making one or if we could use the Molten midi 5 (Midi for the whammy V) they said.

It's on the list to make one but it's going to be a while. The Bass
Whammy has some different settings, so Molten MIDI 5 won't quite work.

hey all, I just wanted to post this little BW tip: be sure to calibrate your whammy's expression pedal! mine came shipped with the pitch shifting not starting right away when rocking the expression pedal which was confusing for a while. i started to google to see if there was an internal trim pot or something to adjust and found the calibration information in the manual. i calibrated the pedal following the instruction manual and its a much better experience!! i recommend everyone with the bass whammy do this!

Going to put mine on a board. I guess power-wise, I can use a 1spot right? Anyone daisy-chaining it? Is it ok? I'll be daisy chaining it with a true bypass looper and a Rat Tail. Unfortunately no room on the board to do it otherwise...

i've been daisy chaining it with 8 other pedals and a one spot and no issues so far.

thanks! I've found other people not mentioning quite the same, but I guess it also depends what other pedals your running it with. Would like to have @DigiTechRep 's opinion/experience if possible though

The Whammy V draws ~265 mA and doesn't like daisy-chains. So my recommendation is to always use the included PSU.

That said, many of our customers have been successful using power options other that what we recommend.

I get a little buzz when powering mine with a non-isolated PS, but it's nothing you'd hear at stage volumes/in a live mix.

Currently I'm using a Mooer MicroPower with a GigRig Time Lord isolated adapter. Works great.
