Sheldon says it sounds great at low gain settings as well as higher settings. Looking forward to testing it!

Mine just arrived. I don't have a real B3K to compare it with, just the model in my Quad Cortex, and it's similiar but a bit different. It gets closest when the B3K has "Grunt" enabled, but I am not sure how accurate the Quad Cortex model is. It seems have a fixed blend, turning the Level control full off still lets a clean signal through a bit below unity. So far I'm liking it more than the B3K model, and I need to dig out my B7K to compare with it. This pedal seems to do better at low gain, but it might just be that fancy gold finish distracting me

No, Sheldon commented to us that he thinks the sweet spot is in the low gain zone with the tone rolled back, so you're probably right. I haven't played with mine yet, I figured I'd keep it in the shipping box until it was officially unveiled at NAMM (yesterday). I'll spend some time with it this weekend, maybe do a quick video or two and get it in our light box. I don't own any DG pedals, though I have two DGTC equipt basses. What I do have the dirt/distortion/fuzz I do have on hand is: TC Spark, Southampton 5th gear, Saturn V, Dr. Scientist FrazzDazzler, SA AfterShock and a few others.

I have one ordered, sounds like I should be seeing it middle of next month. I'm excited!

Everything Darkglass I've tried/owned does well at low gain in my opinion, aside from the DFZ of course. Even with a PSA 2 in front of a B7K you can get great low and mid gain tones that aren't djenty and chainsaw grind.

I'm curious about the new pedal at high gain and utilizing the low pass on it for some fuzzier/woolier tones.

Blend is indeed fixed at 50/50.

I got one back when they first became available and it's a great pedal. I am actually using mine as a Higher gain pedal and it CRUSHES.
