I don't play super agressively. I am having issues fretting with my left hand, especially getting used to fanned frets. I was guestimating on the 1/16". I don't have a way to measure it right now.

I just use a Hercules AGS stand for my NG3 6-string. There’s enough give in the side foam for the yoke to comfortably fit it.Howdy folks,
I just picked up a 6 string NG3 that's going to be getting FDVs, a 6 way selector switch, and maybe a preamp swap (to get some different tones than my 5 string NG3).
I'm looking for some advice on guitar stands. I am currently using Hercules AGS stands for all my basses, including the 5 string NG3, but the neck on the 6 string NG3 is too wide! What are you using for your 6 string Dingwalls?
Cheers,
Andrew
Not a Dingwall question, but... since we are on the topic, err... I have one of those [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] (not an affiliate link, just trying to show what I use) - and I really struggle not to have the basses hit each other when I pick one up / put one down. Are there better stands that have more space / better "guides" to keep the instruments separate? Given the price of these pieces of art and the attention people pay to dings...
i’ve been really happy using one of these. It fits pretty nicely in the corner of my office/studio, and folds up easily when I need to take it somewhere.
Just did a quick Google search to find it and looks like Sweetwater has a pretty good deal on them. Less than what I paid for mine on sale. No affiliation.

Ohh that K&M looks nice, though. Crazy expensive - but apparently that's the direction I always end up going... Does anyone happen to have experience with that one? It looks like it would keep the instruments nicely separatedthat’s where I’m at too. And it fits all my 6 string necks.
Tightly mind you. It’s not a quick draw but more of a very careful extraction but works great otherwise

If I was at home, I’d take a pic. I currently have my D-Roc and NG3 6 on a back-to-back Hercules stand.I'll give that another shot, I tried the other day and it didn't seem to fit, I guess I'll just try jamming it in there...
Five and six both have 18mm string spacing, and yes the fan and scale lengths are the same, just with the C string added on. I think my NG3 6 is damn comfortable, particularly for a 6.My ng2-5 is surprisingly easy to play/access for neck size. It makes me think about a 6. Wish i could play one however.
is the six the same spacing/string fan angles just with one more added on?
plan b is a 5 with F#, lose the G. Then keep my current 5 in standard tuning.

one of my fav bands is about to drop a new single and it’s the first album Jared used a dingwall NG3 on
This is the epitome of that “Dingwall is a Metal bass” stereotype. Lol.
