Dingwall Owners Club

After another long jam tonight, I just can't gel with the TI flats. They sound killer, but it's not what I'm after. If anyone is interested in a set cut for a 5'er (roughly 2-1/2 wraps around post), let me know! I'm not gonna use them, I'd rather get them to someone here who will.

@AB Nate was super cool and sent me a set of Payson flats to try out. Gonna slap those on tomorrow. You rock dude!

Enablers, all of you... :roflmao: :D :roflmao:

Nonprob Gus. Hopefully they are more suitable

I would totally buy those TIs from you if I hadn’t just bought a set for my NG. If I buy them I’ll have to get another Dingwall to put them on. Hmmm.

I can't edit the post and didn't have a chance to update yet. @Ryno1330 snagged them just a little bit ago.

Are you using Dingwall pickups?
Nordstrand’s “Dingstrand Nordwall” pups. So, basically FD3s in regular soapbar style and sized housings. Then it’ll get a DGTC on top of that.
Getting, examining, and researching the 2x switch has also proved useful in that I’m pretty sure I have a handle on the questions I had with the installation of a six-way for my NG3.

May be best to start a new thread. Depending on what you're doing, maybe in lutheir's corner, or just in basses. :)
I thought about it, but it’ll be slow going for a few weeks yet. The DGTC is back ordered through Sweetwater, and the pups will take a few weeks.

Now, when I do get things rolling, I’ll do a thread in basses, this is just me fiddling around and putting Dingwall parts to a heretical use.

B string is looking a little long on that Super; the outer wrap is stiff enough that the string is bending sideways at the nut as it winds around the post.

When I was using Kalium strings on my 4-string Z, I had to remove part of the outermost wrap to prevent it from doing that...then solder the winding at the cut point to prevent it from continuing to unwrap.

I'll play... NG3 mods!

Didn't like the hipshot solos I installed so I just kept the saddles and used the OG bridge plates. Swapped out the tuners, gave it real Dingwall knobs, added a black jack cup, and blacked out the neck gaskets.

I installed the reach extender following the John Fox video.. it worked great but small section of finish lifted. I added some thin CA glue in the cracks to help seal and prevent further chipping. Should have scored the finish with a razor blade first, duh... lol.

Overall... Me likey.. a lot!
