Dingwall Owners Club

Now, if only you had a decent cab to play that P4 through. Oh wait, never mind... :smug:

I like Mark, but going to his studio is tough. Trying to find a cabinet to play through, especially with a 15 in it, is like pulling teeth. Here he is showing me his pathetic selection of cabinets the last time we got together.

I told him I am not visiting again until he has at least 20.

How do you make a guy spend lots of money? Just hand him your Dingwall, plug it in to a Reiner 6SL7 Pre, and run it through a Greenboy Dually or DuallyT. There goes the checkbook.

:D :D :D

I got to help raise the praise this morning by soloing the neck pickup of my 'Stormy Sunday' SJ/P5 into the Reeves & 110 Flex. Heavenly tones abounded (and yes, my head bopped more than once)... :hyper:

I took my ABI to practice tonight - it has been mothballed for a while (I have a lot of basses to choose from). It made the whole band sound better. I'm going to have to put it back in steady rotation.

Do the Super P and J have the same authority of the 37" basses? I have played a couple Super J's, but never in a band setting.

It may not compare to some of the beauties you guys are sporting, but I'm very happy to report that today I placed my Dingwall NG-2 on order. With any luck, I'll be hitting an F# in early April!

They're ALL comparable. Have no doubts. Congratulations. I'm sure the NG-2 will be just as coveted as all the other models.

Re: the Whalepool blue burst is the color/finish new for 2014? Are there any others?

Now, I don't have confirmation that it specifically IS identical to WPB, but it really looks close to me, and the lighting sometimes is tricky. Whale Pool Blue has been a color option on Dingwalls for over a decade at this point. When I bought my AB-1 in WPB in 2005, I was told that at that time it was an 'exclusive' color for Bass Central in Florida. That may not be the case these days, but they certainly made enough sales that its not a rarity. It looks different than many you see partly because its a 'changer' in different lighting and partly because you usually see it over highly figured wood.
