Congrats! May I ask how much they are going for and the color/fingerboard options? Can't find anything on them.
I should also be joining sometime in February, hopefully sooner though! That day can't come fast enough
Thank you! Very excited!! They come in Ferrari Yellow, Ferrari Green and Gloss Black. All with a carbon PG, maple neck and I believe rosewood fretboard, but I might be wrong on that part. You can also get it set up to F# for an extra fee. After shipping and taxes and the F# option (of course), mine came up to $1830 in fancy Colorful Canadian Currency. I would pay twice that for that beautiful piece of instrument!
Go to their website and email their link at the top, Barry will answer back pretty quickly. That guy is a beauty! Anything you want to know, he's bang on. Nolly is on this board sometimes too, he answered all types of questions I had.
It is being released at NAMM in 2 weeks, after that it is supposed to be up for sale. But if you both them enough, the will send you an invoice. Throw down a deposit and they hope to have the first batch built and shipped by early April.
Thanks for the reply! I was really wishing it would come in white because I think that would look unreal with the pickguard and a maple fretboard. Besides that, the specs are absolutely perfect. Might be interested in the green though, I'll have to wait for the unveil at NAMM I guess...
I'm not sure which color the green is, there is a really dark green and a bright lime green that Ferrari produce. I was really hoping for Ferrari Red, but I'm a huge Formula 1 fan. I think it's the lime green, which I think would look amazing.
Nolly was nice enough to show me his prototype before a show, I couldn't get over how light it was. A world apart from my Epiphone! He also showed me his Afterburner 6 string, which is an absolute BEAST!!
I'm a HUGE Periphery fan and an even bigger Nolly fan so that is just unreal! I have an AB1 coming in a few weeks so hopefully that will satisfy my GAS haha.
Fantastic guy, I was lucky enough to meet the band before their show in Ottawa back in November. I asked him about his prototype and he said he had it with him. He took me to the stage and showed me the NG-2, the Afterburner and his Combustions. All of them full out works of art. He is a wicked nice guy and that man genuinely LOVES his Dingwall's!
Can't wait to see them when they come back North of the border. Also, new Periphery album in 2 weeks!

The 2 screws for the G string are as low as they can go/flush. I still have some threads on the two D screws , whereby that can be lowered a bit. I def don't want the action to be super low, just want to be able to get a little snap out of the notes when I dig in. A shim may be the way to go....I think the trus settings are OK...but maybe I could tweak.

always been a sucker for that shade of green.
I'll have to pass on that green... the yellow shark maybe but that green is not really my cuppa tea.

That's not an adjustment for the truss rod. Just email Sheldon and ask about the shim.
Its a full pocket piece so you don't have to feel like your neck is losing direct contact with the pocket.

, but actually the 2 more specifically represents the pups in the MM bridge position ala the Z2 and the C2 (Combustion) made famous by Bocete, as opposed to the Z1 and C1 which also have 2 pups but which are bridge and neck.

I was thinking that it would differentiate a two versus three pickup Nolly model, but I have been wrong too many times to count.
I'd say between my SP5 I have ordered and this, should be set for a while. Still waiting to hear back on a quote.
We play a lot of stuff you hear on Klove. Newsboys, Casting Crowns etc. We also mix it up with some oldschool hymms to southern gospel type stuff.
Should have it covered with the two different basses
