VERY interesting!the 37” four string is interesting
I've been playing a 4 string Dingwall as my #1 for the past 10 years, so having one that I could dedicate to BEAD tuning would be AWESOME.

Seems like Combustion/NG pricing has also gone up. I also noticed the estimate for delivery is Sept 2026.
Yeah, September is more than far enough out for me to go ahead and put a deposit in for one of the six-strings, when it comes up.Seems like Combustion/NG pricing has also gone up. I also noticed the estimate for delivery is Sept 2026.
I’m really curious if the five string of that will be standard BEADG or EADGC, and if BEADG will the E still be 37”, necessitating an even longer B?
My guess is the 5 string will be the usual 34-37 multiscale. So the result would be a cooler looking (IMO) Combustion.I’m really curious if the five string of that will be standard BEADG or EADGC, and if BEADG will the E still be 37”, necessitating an even longer B?
I imagine it’d be the standard 37-34” and possibly tuned F#-D. I’d have hard time believing they’d make the first “extra super long scale” just for a limited run AND still be a realistic price…I’m really curious if the five string of that will be standard BEADG or EADGC, and if BEADG will the E still be 37”, necessitating an even longer B?
I’m glad there were far less offerings when I started this journey. I couldn’t imagine getting into this mess now.
I’m far more tempered and have already been spoiled…. At better prices too.
There is still sooo much temptation… but I just now have far better control, and different goal sets.
I've seen a couple basses over the years with 39 or 40" scale.I imagine it’d be the standard 37-34” and possibly tuned F#-D. I’d have hard time believing they’d make the first “extra super long scale” just for a limited run AND still be a realistic price…
But could you imagine a 40” F#???????
Oh… how I wish they made that blue and purple pick guard for the NG series. And that Padalka MasterBuilt? Holy crap that’s gorgeous.
Wow!! That Padalla looks like it should be a fretless!!!
That was my initial thought as wellWow!! That Padalla looks like it should be a fretless!!!
Love the pick up cover!

Like I said it's not apples to apples, I couldn't grab the sklar at the same time to really compare- but yeah it felt really slim. It may have just been a prototype as well, I think they aren't supposed to hit stores for a bit so there may be refinements. I honestly have no idea.Less meat on the neck than a Z!?![]()
