Looks nice. But if you play a fanned fret bass in a band where others play regular fretted instruments. How do you avoid not being a bit out of tune with the other instruments useing regular fretted necks?

they stay in tune with where you tune them, just like any other bass.

How much does a 5-string version of this run?


Oh and darkstorm, it's no different than playing a long scale vs short scale instrument. The frets are farther apart on the longer (lower) strings, closer on the shorter (higher) strings. No intonation problems.

Wow, I'm back, and she's punchy, clean, lovely harmonics gorgeous, and that P p'up in passive is great, cops a perfect vintage P tone, reminds me of my 71 I had to let go about 6-7 years ago, this makes up for that, I'm surprised I even brought it up. Anyway, the drummer came in while I was checking out the tone's and after I had put on some Chromes and I gotta say that series setting is smoking hot, that became very apparent after he sat behind the drums.
