Dirt cheap bass-friendly Superfuzz clone? Behringer SF-300!

That is definitely what they are. But the FZ-2 is at least in part based on the original Super Fuzz.
That's fine with me. I've tried the super fuzz and thought it was cool. Not $75 cool the GC I tried at though. For $30, this one looks much better to me due to the fact it has the 2 band EQ and 3 way toggle. Likey
If you came across an original super fuzz for $75 you should of bought it in a heartbeat. They go for $3-400 used. If you meant the FZ-2 they are the same exact controls of the Behringer. Just a sturdier enclosure is probably about the only difference.
It was the silver boss fuzz. I've seen those go for $30 at times. I don't think I'm thinking of the same one you are. Or the other way around.
A lof of the Behringer pedals are Boss clones. I have not researched every model, so I don't know how many, if any, are not (i.e., clones of other brands). But, as far as I can tell, the FZ-2 is discontinued, or at least on the shelf at the moment.

It had to have been the 5 then. GC makes mistakes but IME, not with pedals like that. It's possible. I saw one of those red boss delays at my local GC last month. I was so excited when I saw it, was gonna snag it but they were asking $299 or something in that area. My smile turned upside down very quickly.

And two days ago I said to myself: I am really happy with my current pedal board, and don't need a dedicated fuzz for bass, that's the reason I got these Zoom pedals. and everything that sounds cool costs way too much.
Maybe if I keep on saying that to myself I forget that this Behringer actually is really nice sounding unit and dirt cheap. It sure is a good thing its in a plastic case or I would have ordered one yesterday.

You'd have to try pretty hard to break the plastic enclosure of a Behringer pedal, they can still take some abuse!
I really should simply order one. However, damn, I already have too much stuff that doesn't even fit on my board.

I just picked one up from Sweetwater at the $24.99 price with free shipping. Not exactly sure if this will fill a needed fuzz hole for me (that sounded dirtier than I intended) but what can I say, the cheap price was too alluring and I've found gems in cheap pedals before (Ibanez BB9 that I paid $30 for). Maybe some of the Fuzz 1 settings will fit a spot somewhere between the synthy fuzz tones I get with an Earthquaker Devices Dirt Transmitter/Monarch combo, and the scooped roar of my Wren and Cuff Tall Font Russian. If not... it was the price of a case of beer.

It's too cheap to not order it. Do I need it? I'll know when it gets here. But it sounds like I sure could use it. I'm broke, but I can squeeze $30 out from somewhere.
