Tried mine for a couple of minutes today.. totally shocked at what came out for $30...i'm gonna run it through its paces tomorrow. I might try to re house it (is that possible?). It sticks out like a sore thumb

Should be possible, MSLP does Boss rehouses all time.

You should've have any issues rehousing. PM jwr he on TB. I'm pretty sure he knows someone. Dan dubblewee or however you say his name does them too I believe. Can't wait till mine gets here!!!
Mine would've been here today if I would've ord ups ground. But that would've been an extra $13. I can wait till Monday. Shoot, I could've drove to sweetwater, they're in Indy. I'm by chi. I want to one of these days.
Looking like Tuesday for me. I'd like to hear more about this rehousing, because if I love it that plastic has to go.
You cna definitely contact the people that @gregmon79 mentioned. The other person I mentioned is MSLP, "Make Sounds Loudly Pedals". The guy is on Facebook. He makes his own original designs, clones, and lots of rehousing work.

mine's supposed to be here Monday. I built an exact clone of the original superfuzz and then added a sweepable tone control and freq select switch and it sounds great, but for $25 bucks shipped I just couldn't resist.

I thought everyone knew these were bass-friendly! I love mine for bass. It's a little wonky in a live mix, but those instant Sleep/Electric Wizard sounds are too good to pass up. I also use it to boost the living crap out of other pedals; the boost function is VERY powerful.
Bonus. I don't think that demo plate even messed with the boost function. They was scurred.
My bench at work will have everything I need for a rehouse but Ive never attempted, what do I need? Housing and new footswitch?
That's really the one danger of the pedal. If you have the gain cranked (like any sensible person does), it's easy to push the switch past the middle and straight into a +20dB volume boost. That being said, I think the mark of a truly good fuzz pedal is its ability to get dangerously loud.
Also, a sidenote for anyone worried about quality/longevity.
I've had mine for about 7 months and the only problems I've had with it are that it can be a wee bit tricky to turn on (you have to give it a firm press, not just a quick tap like you do with most pedals), and just the other day the LED cut out. It still works fine and sounds just the same, but I am going to have to do some soldering. Still one of my favorite pedals, though!

Got mine on Friday and have been giving it some play on my home rig this weekend (Ampeg PF800 into an OBC115).
First impressions... definitely worth the $25 shot in the dark. I haven't yet found a spot with the fuzz 1 settings that is blowing me away (but then again, fuzz 1 being a more mid-present tone, I might find in a full band context that it sits better). The boost setting really is an interesting tone push, but it's so unbelievably hot that even with the pedal volume turned all the way down, any additional gain is almost unusable with how LOUD it is. Kind of a bummer because I kind of like what it does.
At this point, fuzz 2 settings have been the most fun to play with, personally. Fuzz 2 is MEATY. Meaty with a hefty bit of low end punch. It'll be a bit until I get to try it out in a full band setting to see how it'll hold up. It might end up being so scooped that it'll just disappear in the mix, but for now I've been having fun with it.
