Dirt cheap bass-friendly Superfuzz clone? Behringer SF-300!

I am still using mine. Fuzz1 all the way, that fuzz 2 was hopeles with band. Took some tweaking, and I have a special dirt setting on my zoom 60b after the behringer but its used all the time.

For me, I didn't like it. I tried it in the mix at band practice and it did pretty bad. I'm not saying it won't work for others but it didn't work very well for me. It sounded pretty cool in my room on a setting or two but it just didn't hold up in the mix so it came off the board. I'd buy a vick audio fuzz box for just about double the price, which still isn't bad at all IMO, over this any day.

I'll have to check out the Vick, not familiar with that one. There are a lot of expensive super fuzzes that I like, the trick is finding a less expensive one that will do the trick, since its an effect that I'll probably only need for a couple of songs.

For me it has plenty of bass, but the treble needs cutting a bit. I am not planning on keeping the Behringer for a long time, but it definitely is good enough for this moment. My plan is to go straight to something like a Grey Stache without taking the long route via middle ground fuzzes.

the reason that i deleted the post is because the one that I have here is the Triton sputnik and NOT the Spaceman sputnik.

a good pedal in either case, and neither of which belong in a discussion about Behringer!

I love this pedal so much I just ordered 2 from Sweetwater today since they on sale for less than $20 each. One as a backup and the other I'm thinking of trying my hand at rehousing it into a metal enclosure just to see if I can.
Whether I'm using it as a boost or for the mighty fuzz it produces it is a staple on my board.

I prefer using the Behringer Bass Overdrive most of the time, because of exactly that reason... the loss of some low end. I'm mostly using the Super Fuzz with modulations when I'm wanting slowcore doom like fuzzy synth tones. Although I do tend to boost the low frequencies with an EQ when using the Super Fuzz.
