Disappointing NAD

A week ago I purchased a GK mb 212II combo from zzounds. It was raining as soon as it was delivered. Luckily someone was home to bring it in. The box was in bad shape already. I opened it and left the plastic on it until I could try it out. A couple of days ago I noticed a small hole on the side of the amp that was about the size of a screw hole with a dent slightly above it. Well the box was essentially trash as soon as the amp was removed from it. I finally got a chance to plug it in this morning and the speakers are rattling with each bass I tried. I called zzounds and luckily I can still send it back and they will send me a new one. It's still a shame because other than that rattle, it really gave life to my musicman SUB USA bass.

Bummer for sure , but three cheers for the positive resolution.

Was it new? I got a new, but marked down for some reason(was not clear), GK cab from Sweetwater once. Arrived perfectly packed in its GK box. Had some funky rattling when I plugged it in. Upon inspection I could see that it had obviously been taken apart, was put back together missing a bunch of screws, things were loose, and there were some marks where a tool had been used to do so. I guess it was a demo that had actually been "demo'd"! They sent me a new one straight away, even before I could return the bad one.

Bummer. But it's a great amp, even you get one in good working order I'm sure you will be happy.

Zzounds is good to work with. They'll take care of it.
