Disgraceful behavior from more NFL scum...

You can think I am wrong, that's fine. I was an NFL nut for the better part of 30 years, and felt exactly the same as you do the whole time. Not anymore.

Actually I know you are wrong. There are 2880 players on active rosters. You are telling me that 1440 of them are total scum bags? Im just no seeing it man, its just like the rest of the country. Most people are decent, a few people are bad but the bad onea get 90% of the attention.

Well, let's see here. My comment was "I think it is closer to equal nowadays". No numbers from me, just a general opinion.

But hey, kudos to you for proving me *wrong*. Go on and enjoy your NFL. I'm at a spot in my life where I can no longer proudly wear NFL apparel even if my NFL team had 53 choir boys on it. The entire league is dirty, and the big man on top doesn't care. I have my opinion, you have yours. No matter how many numbers you throw at me, I still feel the way I do.

All Im saying is sterotypes are bad and most people are decent.

If you take one of your children from....say 8 years old. Give him everything he wants, heap adulation on him and never make him work for anything a day in his life. Only thing he has to do is practice his favorite hobby; practice his favorite hobby every day and he never has to work for anything else or be told "no." What are the chances you will end up with a lazy, entitled adult with a distorted sense of reality?

This is pretty much what professional athletes are. They are not an accurate representation of mankind as a whole. Of course, Aaron Hernandez is a whole new story :D

This is me also. I still watch on Sundays, but I don't have a "team", and don't give a rat's ass who wins or loses. Nor do I give a penny directly to the NFL in any way shape or form.

Stay classy, Pouncey brothers! :scowl:

I dunno man, these guys are making a pretty strong case.

You are correct. In fact, they are BETTER than the general public when it comes to arrest rates. Do some internet searches and you come out with study after study that shows the arrest rate of NFL players to be lower than, in some cases far lower than, the general public. Here's a few just for good measure:
