Dissent on Global Warming

If only my town, state or federal government would allow me the ability to significant, incentivized deductions for installing a windmill, solar, and geo-thermal systems in my house, I'd be on it like white on rice. Seriously, I would. But they don't, and to do this type of energy independent system simply makes no financial sense for the average person. ...

Incentives would be made if people fought for change. It happened here in Australia and I now have a 1.5Kw system on my roof. My power usage (and bill) has decreased by a third. Getting back to the population vs consumption debate - you can see how easy it is to HALVE your consumption with little or no effort.

Astronomical fact is:

Planet earth is slowly spiraling towards the Sun, and we're already past the optimum distance.

In this context there is no question as to whether the planet is warming up.

*puts on sunglasses*

Laughable. Even if it were true, generations will pass before that ever happens. Your children, their children, and their children's children will likely pass before that happens. This world, like everything on it, will end eventually. You don't need a degree to know that.

Nothing anyone does or does not do will change that. In all likeyhood human kind will destroy itself long before any celestial incident or some climate issue gets to us. I'm not worried.

So called "green" cars that burn fossil fuels indirectly (via generation of the electricity) aren't going to save anything.
