Distortion and overdrive Pedals that DON'T kill your low end

Well. It seems that just about every stompbox on the planet has already been recommended!
Bass overdrive/distortion/fuzz is a very personal thing. For my person, I really don't care for a lot of crunch/grit, and I will not tolerate a loss of low end. I tried a lot of pedals looking for something that would retain the lows but give me a nice smooth, creamy, velvety warmth to my sound.
The only pedal that's managed to satisfy me is a Durham Sex Drive. It's got a very organic sound, and the switchable compression circuit allows you to get a ridicuous amount of sustain. The low frequency response remains at unity when you kick the pedal on, so you don't have to worry about odd things happening to your EQ when you engage it. Plus there's a "Tone" knob that really works like a presence control... crank it up and you get a lot more high-end grind, or roll it off and enjoy some beaverlicious fur.

The MXR blowtorch has some serious low end for a distortion/fuzz. For an OD pedal, maybe the Fulltone Bass Drive or the Tech 21 VT
