Distortion for chords?

I'm going to be playing my Bass VI in a new band I'm in on top of another bass player. Ill be playing a lot of chords and mostly higher up on the neck, probably with the bass strangle on. Are there any bass friendly distortion pedals with top mounted jacks? I'm not concerned about a clean blend because I have an LS-2 already on the board. I guess it could be a guitar distortion as well then...and that presents way too many options. I will also be parallel blending whatever I get with my fuzz occasionally.

Any suggestions?

On a serious note, there are lots of chord friendly distortion boxes. Not top load and it's a rackmount but I use the Sans Amp PSA-1 all the time on my danelectro bass VI.

the only distortion pedal I've ever heard of that claims to be designed to make each not distinguishable within a chord, is the new Boss DA-2 Adaptive Distortion.
I'm eager to try it on bass.

Try a source audio multi wave distortion or an iron ether qf2

Multi-Band distortion is one proven tactic for reducing the negative impact of harmonics from multiple strings interrupting each other when playing chords through distortion. The concept is that each string finds its own path through the distortion process. Craig Anderton first explored this concept in the 1970s.

Iron Ether, Boss, and Source Audio have Multi-Band distortion products.
