Distortion in mini-stompbox format?

Since I'm runnin gout of space on my small pedal board, I've been looking for a really small distortion pedal. I like the size of the EH Nano series, and wondered if there were any good quality distortions in the small format?

I like tubey-sounding distortions, like the fulltone bass drive, etc.

Thanks for this - I hadn't seen it before. Having said that, I took a listen to the demos, and to my ears it doesn't really have that tubey flavor, but more of a refined modern distortion....

The Hooker Green is similar in design to the Blueberry Bass Overdrive (either BJFE or Bearfoot versions - NOT the Mad Professor version) which are about as tubey as you'll get in a pedal...

Blueberry, Fairfield Barbershop (available in same or smaller format than the Nano), RunOffGroove Ginger (size may vary!), Catalinbread SFT, Xotic BB Preamp - all there or thereabouts and frequently recommended here. There's a lot of love for the Creation Audio Grizzly at the minute - it's bigger than the nano format you've specified but has the jacks on top so probably takes up the same space.

You probably saw Excane's demo! This is definitely a warm tubey drive, but since you mentioned EHX Nano size rather than these newer ultra small 1590A pedals, the Bearfoot Blueberry is similar to the Hookers Green but better in every way except size. There are tons of options out there, this form factor is the most common one going out there in pedal land.

It was Excane's demo that I saw. It seemed like it would be great for metal, but not sure about the "warm tube sound". Maybe it's just the demo. Sure would have been nice to hear it without a pick.

I went ahead and ordered a Barefoot Blueberry. Not the size I wanted, but it seems to be what I'm looking for sonically.

If you want a tubey sounding distortion and money is no option, check out the darkglass vmt. it's not exactly nano-sized, but it can easily give you a warm distortion.

Isn't the the nano line the standard 1590b-sized format? If so then about 75% of distortion pedals out there are that size! Including the vmt... And the blueberry...
