Distortion Pedals with low end?

Looking into getting a new distortion pedal. Currently distorting my sound by cracking the gain and the bass. It sounds pretty good but obviously I lose some integrity. So I’m wondering if you guys have any recommendations for some good distortion pedals preferably that keep some integrity on the low end. Looking for that 90s hard rock vibe.

Damnation MBD-1 is the current leader in distortions that has low-end integrity.

A one control mosquite blender can turn a good overdrive pedal into a good bass overdrive with blend.

Been looking into these pedals. Both great, MBD-1 seems to fill the need but yeesh that price tag lol. Guess I’m gonna have to put some money aside here and there lol. Thanks all, any more recommendations are welcome!

Everything Dunwich Amps makes. True EQ, not just a tone HPF\LPF. The Volt Thrower (Rat), Olde Dirty Bass (OCD), and HM-2 clone all have high and low EQ.

Looked into the Aftershock. Pretty incredible for the money gotta say, thanks for the input may have a go on this

Reiner Amplification Gasoline sounds mint, and he is a really nice guy.
If you have the money Verellen Meatsmoke Pre-amp - it’s massive!

Other options Two Notes LeBass which is very versatile and has a tube in the pedal.

Cheap as chips but really good is the Hartke VXL will also allow some break up and drive.

Hudson Electronics do a really good Germanium based pedal.

You may just get the sound you want for a TC Electronics mojo mojo - it’s not a bad little unit at a good price.

Personally I find that’s Darkglass sucks a bit of tone and it gets a bit fizzy, great for that modern metal sound, not quite 90s rock though

you can use something like a Boss LS-2 to blend in some of the low end back.
That way, you can use whatever dirt pedal you'd like. It's what i do with my Vintage RAT.

A RAT or RAT clone with a dry blend should get you into that 80's-90's sound easily.

Quite happy with the Paul Crowther Hotcake. I used it on guitar for years and recently tried it on bass with no expectation of success. It is the best sounding "guitar" OD I have tried on bass, and I have tried many.
