Distortion Pedals with low end?

Looking into getting a new distortion pedal. Currently distorting my sound by cracking the gain and the bass. It sounds pretty good but obviously I lose some integrity. So I’m wondering if you guys have any recommendations for some good distortion pedals preferably that keep some integrity on the low end. Looking for that 90s hard rock vibe.

Dr Scientist - the elements ( blend w/pedal jack ..!! you can control the Mix via a volume pedal )

3 band EQ , 3 od/dist modes , bass/mid filters , etc ... it'll really do anything .. !!

another much more simple and cheap ... 1 knob ... SolidGoldFX BC239

+1 for the blower box. I love mine and a/b ing it against the b3k and the alpha-omega I still prefer my bb.

For the 90s sound I’d recommend trying the Green Russian muff. I a/b against my original Green Russian and it very close and retains almost all of the low end. The old one adds a little low end so it’s different but the new one is still good.

Another option is the mxr bass d.i. While giving you the option of using it as a clean preamp you can also just view it as a fairly adjustable distortion option. It has a blend option. If you just use the eq to shape the distortion and just use as a distortion option it can sound pretty good.

I love my Mad Professor Blueberry Bass Overdrive for just that.

It's simple, with volume, gain, and filter knobs, but it retains tons of low end. You run the filter lower and keep the gain down, and it really fills out the bottom end while giving that slightly pushed tube power amp feel to the notes. You can dial a more filter in to get more grind, but the low end doesn't suffer.

I've found a clean blend to be very effective in preserving low end and helping to get consistency between clean and drive tones. I think you would like the B3K, or maybe even the B7K to add back in some low end/low mids with the EQ.

I am currently using the Vulcan XL and have really been enjoying that. Very versatile pedal.
