Do I accept the partial refund for a bowed neck?

The neck is the most critical part of a bass, pretty much all the other components can be easily replaced so it as to be good at day one.
Of course, if you can find a good luthier that can repair it to a perfect condition for $35.00, then it’s another story. :roflmao:

I'm looking at this thread and shaking my head. I know I'm "old school" but this is one reason I'm so bummed about music stores closing down and people ordering instruments on line. Every instrument is going to be a little different than the next. I just couldn't buy a bass without playing it first, or at least having a good return/exchange policy.

Do I see fretboard separation in the pic?
That’s what I see, that neck is a reject!
If the pic shows the necks humpy-ness that alone would be a no way I’m keepin this but also looks like board separated.
You made the right call neck is garbage.

Hi all, I recently bought this new fender player precision bass. It is made in 2021(I guess display model), came with a bowed neck, and a small ding(don't care that much).
If I tighten the truss rod all the way, it is kinda straight. They offered a 35 dollar partial refund. Should I accept it or fight for a better refund or return it. Thank you!

UPDATE: Asked for a 300 refund or return, they accepted the return

I can't be the only one who doesn't see a neck?! Or even a bass!?

I'd send that one back & not even discuss partial refund. I would've sent a less busy photo of the ripple where the fretboard & maple meet, the elf slipper relief and request the RMA. Get the ball rolling, you don't want that in your house any longer than it has to be there. If the seller didn't disclose that, there's something wrong with that listing & ethics. They would have to have been ignorantly oblivious to that level of an issue. Really surprised it even glued together ?
