Do I accept the partial refund for a bowed neck?

It probably hung on the wall at a store for a couple of years with a horrid set up and bowed neck and got “settled” in that way. I would return it if it’s not correctable. That said, even expensive basses sometimes come with high spots, etc that need corrected or leveled out. I bought a 2018 Stingray Special that ended up having a slight dip on the treble side of the neck. A Luthier corrected it and it plays like a dream now, however I wouldn’t have gone to that expense for a lower end bass.

Return the bass and get your full refund . The seller should have informed you of the problem . I got lucky fixing a bowed neck once . I ended up placing weights on the neck for 2 or 3 months in my warm garage and it fixed the problem.......then I sold the bass ......RETURN THE BASS !:thumbsup:

Hi all, I recently bought this new fender player precision bass. It is made in 2021(I guess display model), came with a bowed neck, and a small ding(don't care that much).
If I tighten the truss rod all the way, it is kinda straight. They offered a 35 dollar partial refund. Should I accept it or fight for a better refund or return it. Thank you!

UPDATE: Asked for a 300 refund or return, they accepted the return

Good you got you money back.

The last the amount of the refund the seller is going to offer you will completely cover the cost of a new neck as well as a trip to a Luthier to have it set up and dialed in, then return it. Regardless of what the seller may have said there is absolutely no way that they didn't know that the trust rod was maxed out. You have buyer protection through both reverb and ebay and if you bought it from someplace other than those two sites you still have recourse if you use PayPal or from your credit card company.
