Lol... I like that... maybe I'll name it Susan. OK, the funny part about this bass which you can't see in the pics is that the neck pickup route appears to have been done with a dremel...
As far as resonance, it's certainly good, but I have another bass which clobbers them all in that department. I'd say the main thing is the tons of low mids it seems to push, that has really got me considering selling the rest of my jazz basses and just keeping this... I've never really liked the sound of jazz basses anyways - just the shape.
Since the paintjob was done pretty bad (hard to see the runs on the corners in these pics but they are there, orange peel is pretty obvious... it's a white base, 1 coat daphne blue, nitro) and the polish job was poor as well, I went with doing a 'relic' build... that meant I tossed the hardware into a box with some 5% acid solution next to it for a day, scuffed up and yellowed the pickguard, and generally used anything that looked beat up in my collection of parts.
