Do most bassists use a compressor/limiter?

I love compressor both live and studio, the only effect that i use.

I have had a lot but I found I don't really need one. I do like to have one though for those times when I don't want to pay so much attention to my technique.

My biggest complaint about using compression is why I didnt try it out sooner.
Never really thought about using compressors but I like what it does to my sound.
And what a useful tool it is. I've only tried the DG Super Symmetry.

I don't know about others, but I use compression. Hell, I run two compressors.

Can be useful. But sometimes it's about technique. Work your bass unplugged or with very low volume to see how inconstant we are when not backed with amplification. By the way...working unplugged or at very low volume helps to solve these technical issues. My 2cts

I am not a believer that a compressor is made to help your technique or lack of. In a studio there are not many basses or other instruments who don't have a compressor on it.
